Post #400: Senator Clinton still corrupt. News at 11.

Senator Clinton proposes a blatant vote-buying scheme:
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday that every child born in the United States should get a $5,000 "baby bond" from the government to help pay for future costs of college or buying a home.
Why can't Democrats realize that just throwing money at voters during an election campaign is a major no-no in a democracy?

Similar to how Bush gave each citizen a "tax refund" check during his first year as president?

Democrat or Republican. The dirty money political tricks don't seem to be partial to either party. Don't you think?

A couple of points to be made:

1. When the federal government sends a check to a private citizen through a legal, constitutional government program, this is typically not considered "dirty money".

2. There's a big difference between refunding money that people already paid as taxes and giving people money that they've done nothing to earn.

You're right. Dirty money isn't the best way to label those refund checks.

But I suppose I labeled that while considering our national debt which is abysmal. Especially when comparing where it was at pre-Bush era. And I'm sure writing out checks to millions of people (who had already accepted the fact that the money was already taxed and being used in government programs) didn't help the debt in any way.

Hillary's plan stinks of the same thing.
